Associating Audio files properly

Every time I try and open a media file, it defaults to Nero and/or saves it as a Nero file. How can I put it back so that Audio / Video is automatically associated with Windows Media?

Right click an audio fle and select Open With. Click Browse, click Windows Media Player and tick the box to always use this program to open this type of file.
