In the Helpline section of PCAdvisor Issue 104,page164, mention is made of the above.
The last sentence says: ' can safely disable or delete it..'
I can see how to delete, but how do I simply disable it?
Would appreciate any pointers

if you go start - run and type msconfig - you can get to the services tab [2nd. from right at the top on mine] you can then look for the one you want and click on it to change it.
