On my daughter's computer, Ask.com has taken over the search function from Google. I don't know how it did it. How do I get rid of it - remove it from gobbling up space on the browser screen and stop it from usurping Google

Can you not right click on a blank bit on top of your browser and untick the particuler toolbar?

Look in Add/Remove programs and delete from there. If it`s also put itself at as default in the IE7 search box at the top right of IE7 drop the arrow to the right and select "Change Defaults..." then remove it from there too and set another as default.

How did I cope before I found this forum!

All of us are duffers at some things, and possible knowledgeable in others.

Many of us feel that, as we have been helped by some, we may be able to help others, as a sort of "quid pro quo"
