ask.com has crept in

I downloaded Foxit Reader from Cnet and answered in the negative to all references to ask.com but, when I opened IE, PC Tools Spyware doctor warned that ask.com was trying to send info. I ticked to quarantine it.
There is no reference to Ask in the programme list of Add/Remove programs.
How do I get rid of this annoying software?

Remove Foxit and see if that sorts the problem. You should reboot as well. Use PDF Xchange Viewer instead, as far as I know there aren`t any "associated" programs. click here

Ask.Com is a browser as is Google etc.Is it not just a matter of changing your search browser back to Google.Or Maybe remove it from your search browser list.
