I just reinstalled windows xp on my new system as it was full of spyware. So thats what happened and when it loaded into windows, everything was superfast, but something strange was going on. When I opened any window and started to drag it, the dragging was really slow. I would drag it and it would seem to lag, but apart from that everything else is fine. Does anyone have any ideas? thanks in advance.

i had the same problem, the solution is quite simple. You need to install the driver for your graphics card

I agree with skaria

I had the same prob after fitting a replacement m/board and reinstalling - I had forgot to plug the GPU fan power in, so the chip was slowing itself loads to keep the temp down. I was lucky that the GPU didn't blow...
