I'm looking to upgrade the ram on my laptop, I used the crucial site to determine what sort I needed however their prices are rather expensive so I checked elsewhere.

here is crucial: click here

and here is ebuyer:

They look the same to me, same model number and all that. Would the ebuyer ones work in my laptop as well?

Seem to both be the same specification.

the simplest thing to do is look in your motherboard manual if you have it to find the memory that your system uses. Then enter the details in froogle etc to see who is doing it the cheapest. Crucial normally give the right info but are one of the dearest. You can get a 5% discount from them by entering using click here and using the code shown when you buy.

Quality and top class service and support never comes cheaply.

Thats why it was nearly 3 times more expensive to buy mine on crucials site. Thus I went to click here and got the exact same ram from the same people at nearly 1/3 the price. £10 more for guaranteed compatibility. 2/3 more no thanks. Will take my chances and likely still come out saving.
