Archiving Mail

Following the directions on page 152 of the October 2003 PCAdvisor, I have been archiving my emails from last year. I notice that they have been given a file name according to the subject of each email. I haven't checked yet, but wonder if some of the files have been overwritten, as several will have had the same subject.

Is there any way in which they can be named according to the sender, also? eg tomsmith-1, Tomsmith-2 etc?

I think if a file was going to be overwritten you would get a warning to the effect. I save any e-mails I want to keep by dragging them to a folder in my backup partition or CD-RW and rename them eg dad1, dad2 etc.

Yes, I feel that there should be a warning. But I would love to be able to find all the files from a specific person - as you can do in OExpress.
