just a quickie
are there any programs out there(prefably free)in which i could put copy protection on my cds?

If they are music CDs, no. They can be recorded from a line out. IIRC there are many programmes that can bypass copyright protection as a swift Google will confirm.

I bought Replay Music for recording Internet radio streams. It records directly from the soundcard so any sound coming through that is captured in excellent quality.
