A friend whose PC i built (12 months ago) is now having some problems and I hope you good people can help.

When he starts the PC everything is fine up to the log in screen, he has 2 log ins his and his son's. If he clicks on either of them it comes up with a box titled, Explorer.exe-unable to locate component. Iside the box it says, Application failed to start because SHDOCVW.DLL was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix the problem. then there is the option to click OK.

After he clicks okay his desktop appears but nothing else, no icons or windows taskbar. Anyone know how to cure this please.
