AOL System Tray Icon Restoration

Ever closed AOL's sytem tray icon & told it not to re-appear by mistake. Want it back? Can't find instructions for how to do that. Here is how I figured a way to do it (works for all versions of AOL as far as I know):-

Restore the AOL 9.0 System Tray Icon:

To do this, first tell pc to show hidden files (in My Computer - Tools - Folder Options - View).

Then find 'aoltray.exe' (C:\Program Files\AOL 9.0\aoltray.exe) in AOL 9.0 Program File & create a shortcut on the Desktop. Then drag it into it into the programs' menu 'Startup' file list . (Delete the old one from the Startup list & delete the orginal shortcut from the Desktop).

Reboot Computer. - AOL's System Tray Icon will then re-appear in the task bar's system tray.

Return file view to 'do not show hidden files.'

- Well Done. Glad to be of help to any who need this fix.

Best Wishes To Everyone.
