  driving man 22:46 31 Jan 06

Trying to access a site which in the past I have had no problems with, I find that now its images won't show except foe the dreaded red cross in the corner.
As stated in thread am on AOL, using XP home ( updates done )
Any Ideas please as I cant find anything in I/ Explorer or Aol's settings

Sorry to have taken so long to get back but VoG's solution didn't help. Interesting site and reading though - Have marked it for future reference

Usually caused by a Java problem.
click here this will (should?) link you to the Java site to test your installation.
If it comes up negative then click here
to download the latest.
Recommend you download and install yourself rather than the online option.

It all comes up OK---- Running version 1.5.0_ 06 I wondered if it was more to do with aol but this also happens when I access sites using I E Vers 6 Or am I missing something?

Try IE>tools> internet options and select programs tab>click on reset web settings. Check that IE should check to see whether it's the default browser.

Rdave thanks for thoughts but still no luck after checking them out. Next idea is they might be blocked by Zone Alarm (free version )
If it is a ZA prob how can I get over it.
PS In AOL do not compress images is checked as I know the Johnson/mathey compression can stop images loading
