AOL Free Firewall

Is anyone here using AOL's Free Macafee Firewall Plus - if so what is it like??

I used it at first, but soon opted for Zonealarm.
It didn't seem as "firewall proof" as I had first thought.
Thats my opinion.

I was just wondered what it was like thats all

To be honest, it worked ok, but when I joined the forum, read what people were saying about firewalls in general, and a little accident that the free firewall had let through, thats when I changed to ZA.

I used it for over 2 years without any problems, never let me down. There was no reason other than I fancied giving another firewall a try, thats the only reason I changed my firewall. I used Zonealarm but did not like it, I have been using Comodo firewall (which is free) for the last 2 months, no problems at all and highly recommended. If you do decide to use the free Mcafee firewall, im sure it will be more than adequte and should cause you no problems.

Ile give Macfee a shot - got nothing to loose anyway!

Just one thing. Bought a new PC this january and installed the McAfee firewall. Got a BSOD a few days later and microsoft report directed me to a McAfee patch. Worked fine afterwards.
Tried various firewalls, including Keiro, but settled now on Comodo.

Yeah, Comodo is a really good firewall, might be worth considering Comodo if for some reason or other you don't like Mcafee firewall.
