I have problems opening attachments from the AOL server yet other attachments open OK from other network providers. It reports the usual message that oe has prevented the attachment being opened. Any idea why this should only be AOL problem ? Does some security box need to be cleared or security level reduced ?

Is there a clue with the type of file sent to you from an Aol source?

Very large files are sometimes zipped by Aol and automatically uncompressed if received by an Aol member. If this is the problem then using Winzip first before sending could be a work-around.

I (use Aol) have had pictures form a Mac source via Pipex which while hinting about MIME, boiled down to using IE or OE (sorry can't remember which) to open them at all!
