AOL annoyances

  realist 20:24 27 Mar 08

aoltpspd.exe and aolacsd.exe regularly consume up to 98% of system resources, or whatever, and generally gum things up bringing my pc to a standstill.

I have googled these to find they are features of AOL 9.0 which are apparently essential to keeping users online and must not be deleted or blocked.

Any AOL user found a way to get around this problem?

Scan your Pc for spy/malware, i would say the issues you have are more likely to be this rather than the exe files themselves...

Tips on those sites appear to have solved problems by disabling tpspd.exe and by using one-click fixes to clear out the connectivity database. Now runnning better.

Many thanks.
