Hi,
I have a network at home meaning that I can access files on the downstairs computer and users downstairs can acess files on the system upstairs including the external hard drive. I can also use the net send feature.
Now what I want to do is block certain websites at certain times, for example, block Youtube at 6PM until midnight, after that time users can aceess it. I am trying to do this cos we have been told we are using too much bandwidth during peak hours, and as a result need to cut it down during those times (6 till 12)
Thats why I was wondering is there anything for free which will enable me to control such websites at any time for any users on the network?

I would appreciate anyones help ( simple talk please I dont understand too complex speech)

Thanks
Ben

One possible way - in Internet Explorer go to Tools>Internet Options>Content you can make settings in Content Advisor and set a Password so that only the password holder(s) can view certain sites at certain times. I am going purely from memory, but I think I have got that right.

You can do this with click here

its a very nice free tool i use it on both my pc's
you do need to register to get a code key but it costs nothing.

There is an option in the admin part to set up times when sites can be accessed among other things.

It's superb in my view. Effective but not intrusive and free too.

It allows you to block internet access at certain times.

It allows you to easily block certain sites or sites that fall into certain categories like porn, gambling, P2P, Violent etc etc.

What I'm not sure it can do is to block certain sites at certain times which is what you want.
