Anyone else pestered by AOL

I've been using AOL for a few years now and always been happy with it.

I recently departed Microsoft and joined Mac, I installed the latest AOL for Mac and I'm now pestered every 30mins for disconnect due to inactivety, even though I'm not inactive. e.g.downloading.

Is anyone else having this expirience.

I don't have a mac, but am using AOL with no problems whatsoever. As Graham said give them a ring or try Tech Chat.

Aol will, depending on time of day, every so often flash up a little window saying, "You have been inactive for xx minutes" and do you wish to stay on-line.

Just click yes and all is ok, if not they disconnect you, then you need to dial back in.

The above only applies if you are not actively using your account, IE: downloading or surfing, if you are doing either of these then you are able to stay on 24 hours a day 7 days a week, without being cut off or reprimanded.

If you are in the forum or any other site, were you are reading a page for a length of time and not touching the mouse or keys, then the best way is to minimise and restore your window every 15 minutes or so. J.
