Hi people, anyone used maxblast5 cannot get to the xp instuctions page on the website so any help would be gratefully recieved, also any problems experienced. I have two seagate drives main and storage, going to clone main to storage, set up is at the moment main drive master + dvdwr as slave. storage as master with additional dvdwr as slave.

I would probably use seagate disc wizard instead.

I have just wasted a lot of time with both Seagate Wizard and Maxblast 5. Only endeavoured to use them as I wanted to image. They produced images OK but would not produce a start up disc that worked. Technical help a waste of time as the forum. No replies to anything.
If you just want to clone use XXclone it is free and works. Anything in the drive that you are cloning to will be overwritten. XXclone will make the cloned drive bootable and you can test that the clone is working OK.
Unusual set up you have most harddrives are master and slave and likewise the CD/DVD drives.
No doubt it works OK though.
If you want to partition then easeus partition master is free and works

Have just tried XXclone took about1.5 hours to copy over, but when I booted from the spare drive most of my programs did not come up on the programes list, although they were in add/remove listings, the reason I set up the drives the way they are is that I loaded an extra operating programme on the spare so that I could boot from it if the main went down. I also heard that maxblast and seagate programmes will not work with sata drives, and that xxclone will not work with office 2007, neither of which I have got. Still will persevere and see how I get on. many thanks anyway.

Just to let you know have run XXClone again and this time successful, did NOT choose alternative desktop this time, only problem had to re-register Avast, now have two virtually identical master HDD's so if one goes pop can run on second.
