Hello All
Can I buy more or less any Wireless PC card and cable/dsl router to connect my laptop to the world wide web. I am running windows XP proffesional (2nd edition), on a dell 1100. What exactly should I be looking for if I were to go scouting a famous internet auction site....:@)

As Always cheers all

For a PC you would use either PCI or USB; for a laptop either PCMCIA or USB.

To connect with a Wireless Network adapter, it needs to be a *Wireless* router. Cable broadband (NTL or Telewest) uses a "Cable/DSL Router. ADSL via the phone line requires a combined "Wireless Router/ADSL Modem".

I understand what I need, I just need to know if there is any thing I should know. There seems to be a million of them out there, but the price differential is great, so just want an idea as to what 'spec' I should be looking for so I don't get lumbered with something duff...:@)
