Anti-Virus Programs

I have noticed that members are running more than one AV. This will create problems more than likely for you and us. Will you please Remove all but one, or disable them.

woodchip, makes a vaild point. Running more than one Anti Virus or Spam blocker Program will more often than not generate errors.

Well said Woody but it will continue
Folk seem to think their computers are like themselves and are turning them into Hypochodriacs.
You know take a pill - it makes you ill so take another pill - ad naseum.

woodchip also add to that Firewalls - one only please.

It's almost unbelievable what some people have running on their PCs potentially causing conflicts.

For Newbies I always advise (personal preference):
Anti-virus: AVG Free click here and Zone Alarm Free (Firewall) click here and for Malware: Spybot (with TeaTimer enabled)(Also free)click here

That will suffice for any normal useage.

There are variations to the list, but the point is you only need 1 Anti-virus, 1 Firewall, and 1 Anti-Malware.
