Another XP problem - with PSE 2 this time

  BrianW 18:37 19 Dec 03

I'm seeing an odd problem with Adobe Photo Elements 2 on my XP home upgrade.

When I call up the programme I get the message "Entry Point Not Found, procedure SMaptL_IP_EBP_ 20 could not be located in the dyanamic link library Kernel32.dll"

The Adobe help mentions this problem as being associated with the Beta version of XP, and then gives a long list of similar possible occurences. Again, the information / solutions were less than useless to a non-techie.

I should say that the programme appears to work, despite displaying this warning at two different points in the loading process.

I've removed and reloaded PSE (one of the more intelligible suggestions) but the problem remains.

Any clues would be most appreciated,

Have you got the SP1 upgrade to XP.

I upgraded with the standard "off-the shelf" package and then downloaded all the recommended upgrades from the web. Would that do it?

(thanks for the prompt response by the way)

Start, Control Panel, System.

On the General tab it will tell you if you have SP1.

I've looked in Sys Info, SP1 build 2600 is loaded
