Another Poker/laptop Question

Hi ppl
I read in a thread that any new laptop is well capable of running internet poker. I also run Poker Office whilst playing. It's software that tracks all hands and updates stats in real time.
I had to change to a MySQL database because programme ran slow as the data increased.
Would any budget laptop still be suitable or would I need a higher spec?

without knowing the potential size of the database, but yes, any reasonably-specified laptop will cope. You may have to beef up the RAM, because it will take a hammering with constantly refreshing datasets. It's an easy task however (easier than with a desktop machine in fact), and not unduly expensive.

Thanks for reply Ed
I'll take your word that beefing up RAM is easy, but if I need to do it, you will prolly be hearing from me again!
