Another disaster for me

Hi all,

Hope someone can help me again!

Have a wireless laptop, bought router tried to connect and now it works however the reception is low, so I have decided to go back with my broadband connection via an ethernet cable which I was using a few days prior to this.

I put the ethernet cable back in to laptop yet it won't use that connection, saying it is not connected?? just keeps going back to the wireless connection which is crap.

So how do I make it use the ethernet lead once again.

I have tried system restore and all sorts and it has me stumped.

So you guys have help me lots before and I hope you can once again

Thanks in anticipation

The ethernet connection may have become disabled.

If you're using XP, Start>Control Panel>Network Connections, right click on Local Area Connection, enable

Checked all that and it is enabled, so must be something else

Disable the wireless connection on the laptop (right click on icon should do it)
