Annoying pop-ups

  Garb 09:08 20 May 05

Keep getting these annoying ads popping up when I'm in IE. They tell me they are not connected with any pages I am surfing. Have run Ad aware with latest definitions and A squared to no avail. Also running pop-up killier. The only clue to the origin I have is when the window locked up and I got a screen message saying that the programme "Offer Agent" would be closing. Any ideas how to get rid of these annoyances?

Try Firefox browser. I find after XP sp2 popups no longer problem!

Sounds like a messenger advert I suggest you use Shoot the messenger to stop them. click here .

Pop-up Sentry did the trick and got rid of "Offer Agent". Surprised ad-aware didn't find it. Will also keep "shoot the messenger" in my armoury.
