Hi all, i think this is a scam, but i would like to fish for some info on it.
I'm getting very annoying popups that interupt any application i am using. For a few months i occasionaly get (maybe twice an evening) a messanger service window telling me that "Doris" would love for me to text her! I should be so lucky. You can either close the window or ok it, both have the same affect. I've been meaning to deal with it for a while but recieved an interesting popup this evening. This time a message telling me how to put a stop to these popups by closing an open port on my pc which had been allowed by the O/S. byebyeads.com or click here
is the apparant answer and $25 for the desired software.
These past messages i fear have come from the same place.

I'm sure there are lots of you that have come across this, so how can i put a stop to it without the rip-off software?

thx in advance
