Hi there,

I am running IE Version 6 with my XP Home (SP 2) laptop.

I have being using Ad-aware SE to remove Spyware etc, and have the IE Pop-Up Blocker enabled. (I think this is an feature with the new XP service pack).

Anyways, I keep getting pop-up ads from the address: click here.

Adverts for Tiscali and Dell regularly appear.

Ive added this domain to the Resticted Sites list (in Internet Security Options), but i am still receiving these ads.

I cant confirm if it is from a particular site because i get them infrequently, and i have scanned for any spyware, or adware.

Can anyone offer a suggestion as to how to block these popups, and if I was right in thinking adding the address to the Restricted Sites is any use.

Thanks all.

Chris

Try Spybot click here

If that does't zap it try CWShredder click here

Seemed to have solved the problem.

It was a combination of removing Suspicious Temp files (using Norton antivirus 2004 to locate them), and by cranking up Adaware to do a Full System Scan.

By default Adaware does a SmartScan, which didnt find them the first time around.

The problem files were:

WIN32.ADVERTS.TROJANDOWNLOADER
PEOPLEONPAGE
OVERPRO
VX2

Sorted !! Adaware helps me again !!
