I want to get video pictures recorded on an analogue video camera onto my PC so that ultimately I can record them on CD-Rom (Video CD).

What is the best way to go about doing this. I have seen that Belkin sell a spcial USB cable that claims that I can do the above. It retails at about £65 and I am therefore reluctant to buy it if it is not upto the job.

Can anyone advise me on what to do.

Many Thanks.

I use a TV card with my analogue Camcorder plugged into the composite socket and the sound inputted to my soundcard, works fine, then edit with Premier & burn to VCD in Nero.
Homemade porno anyone??
Only joking!

I'm sure that some of the video editing softwares come with a firewire card for not much more than the Belkin cable you're talking about. Then you'll be able to edit your video before burning it to CD. Check out click here and Ulead.
