Hi,

Appealing to all who have done a bit of video-capture & editing.

A few months back I upgraded my system to Xp 2800 barton core cpu, IGb ddr3200, MSI fx5600 gfx with vivo.

I have been trying to record analogue camcorder tapes, to convert to dvd/svcd/vcd, but the quality of capture is truly abysmal.

I play these tapes regularly on to tv, and the picture is very good quality.

I have tried all types of capture settings, and to get the type of quality required, i have to record at a resolution too small for comfortable viewing

Can anyone tell me what is reasonably priced capture card which will produce good results.

Thanx Joe.
