In gaming and for general use there's no difference between the FX-Series and Phenom II processors. In fact and sadly, the Phenom II X6 1100T is a better processor than the FX-6100. As far as the FX-series processors are concerned, the only 2 in the bunch with the performance edge are the FX-8150 and FX-8120.
I would go for Intel Sandybridge instead of Bulldozer and Phenom. all of AMD's processors are all based off of the same old Athlon x64 processors. Bulldozer was just a rearranged processor. save your money and power bills also and buy a Sandybridge. You could buy a Bulldozer 8-core and it uses 223watts and for the same if not higher performance, you can go get a Intel core i5 Sandybridge and it use only 95watts. Look for the I5 2400 or the i5 2500 or the i7 for the same performance as Bulldozer.
