i am going to buy an XPS of these specs:

*PROCESSOR Intel® Core™ 2 Quad-Core™ Processor Q6600 (2.40GHz, 8MB, 1066MHz) edit

OPERATING SYSTEM Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium - English edit

MEMORY 3072MB 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x1024/2x512] edit

640gb hard drive 7.200(2x320)

these are the best specs i can get now with my budget.

i also heared about "overclocking" but am not sure if i can do that to the XPS and how to do it.

i think the 8800gt is a good graphics card but want to know what you think. also i appreciate any advie you can give me on this system or any upgrades i should consider. by the way, the total price is £584.something

thank you

I take it 584.some is just for the tower.
Still, its looks a good spec for a gaming pc.
I am not into overclocking so cant help with that.
If it was me, I would purchase a cpu that was man enough without overclocking! Good luck.

The cpu is quiet good, one of the best out there.
