I've tried a search but couldn't find anything to help. My 'all programs' list is becoming huge. Is there a way of grouping similar prog shortcuts together in a folder to shorten the list. Ta.

Right click on start button

choose explore all users

from there you can open programs and create new folders as you wish

For example, I have created

Internet which has my browsers, email, etc

Security which has AV, Anti-spyware, etc

Multimedia which has graphics, video players etc

You can create and use them as you wish.

One option is to enable scrolling:

1. Right-click Start, select Properties
2. Select the Start Menu tab, and then click Customize
3. In the Customize Start Menu dialog box, click the Advanced tab
4. Under Start menu items, click to select the Scroll Programs check box

DS and S7

Both excellent solutions, thanks. Just what I was after.
