All In One or Seperate

Is it better to use a Firewall that is an all-in-one package with an Anti-Virus?

Or is it better to have them seperate.

If you really want to pay out (on a continuing basis), get a complete package. If you're willing to get them for free, load them one at a time from the numerous ones suggested in many thread on here.

Personally, I use AVG as A/V and Outpost as firewall. I also have antispyware and spyware traps as well which paid for things like norton and McAfee don't have.

I would personally get separate antiviurs and fire wall use avg and zone alarm, better than anything else and free to use for personal use.
