Alexa Toolbar

What exactly is it? A trial spyware program scan tells me that I have "multiple" instances of it. I can't see anything odd anywhere. Is it a conventional toolbar? Why isn't it detected by Adaware and Spybot?

You have Adaware and SpyBot installed on your computer. I would suggest that you also download and install Spyware Blaster click here all three work well together and form a good combination.

Thanks for the link, SANTOS7. Very interesting! Thanks also to spuds and Fruit Bat. I already have Adaware, Spybot and Spywareblaster. As these didn't spot Alexa I am rather suspicious of the claim by the spyware scanner to have found it, especially as I can't find any trace of it on the system. I'm leaning to the opinion that this is a ploy to entice me to buy the software, so I won't. Thanks again.

If you have alexa (I did) it would definately show up in Spybot.
