Which email client do you use?

Do you collect/send mail on the Yahoo website, or through an email client such as Windows Mail or Outlook?

i just use yahoo mail

Then I'm afraid I don't think it's possible to signal a new message arriving, as it is sitting on the Yahoo server, and doesn't download to your PC.

Maybe somebody will know better......

Or a third party program to alert you - it says it covers Yahoo and others

If you are using Firefox browser you can install the “Yahoo Mail Notifier”

Which will install a mail icon on the Firefox status bar, and show you if you have any new mail

at Yahoo and the amount

By just double clicking on the icon it will open your mailbox at Yahoo as a tab in Firefox
