Been asked to look into this for a friend.

Sainsburys do this Mini Disc Player click here for £99.99

But on the box its says something like (sorry but the writing is very small) "...compatible with Windows XP Home, Pro, 2000 and 98 etc when installed buy the PC manufacurer" It also says something along the lines of "only supports download from PCs where the disk was formatting as NTFS by the manufacturer".

Any reason for the spec to be so specific??

This will at least bump it to the top.

Cop out just in case it doesn't work and you want your money back?

If they state NTFS surely that isn't available with Win98

Unless I'm misunderstanding and you can format a Mini Disc as NTFS?
