Hi,
I need some advise, i am currently looking to upgrade my graphics card.
I have a budget around the £100 mark

My current spec =
p4 2.66
512MB
Nvidia Gforce4 TI4200
120GB HD

Now this plays most games quite well (CSS,DODS)but will not play Battlefield 2.
Any suggestions appreciated

Thanks

You should be able to get a card based on an NVidia 6600 GT which is capable
Moake sure its the GT though

If AGP why not go for an ATI 9800 Pro search online seem to have dropped in price (£85-£95)

Look at click here as example where actually £80

Double check that you have capacity for extra power supply and that the card is 256bit

The GeForce 4 cards are not supported for Battlefield 2. I had to replace mine with a GeForce 6600GT to be able to play that game. Got mine from click here

Re Aca;
Nah - Ebuyer have a saphire 9800 listed but no stock for £79.
For an extra tenner they have 143 Gainward 6600GTs.
You have to advise Hemnsy to go for the latest tech for given the budget.

Have a look at click here and click here

Be aware that the GT cards are power hungry and you need a PSU with minimum 300w. click here

6600GT every time............ Make sure you go for the GT,don't get fooled into thinking 6600 256mb is better than the 6600GT 128mb IT'S NOT!!!!!!!!!
