Want to upgrade a motherboard that has an AGP slot but its about a 1998 ASUS P2B M/board and not sure on the AGP type.

The O/s is Win98Se and the M/board is a Intel PII With a Intel 440BX Chipset.

So will this motherboard accept a AGP graphics card which says its AGP x2/x4 ?.

Current Grpahics is a Matrox G200 linked to a Acellerator type card.

Thanks to anyone who can help on this one.

Happy New Year also to all PCA Forum users.

There are various implementations of AGP and this site click here has good clear diagrams to help you.

Notice, later cards run at a different voltage, so be careful in how you select.
