I intend building a pc (Athlon based) Using,, ASUS A7n8X.dual channel DDR,NForce2 chipset,usb2.

AMD athlon 2600xp (333FSB)

Western digital "caviar" 40gb, 7200rpm, 8meg cache.

512meg 2700 ddr.

Plus all the usual peripherals like dvd drive, cd writer, modem, etc, etc.

I have a creative 3d blaster riva tnt2 m64 graphics card (32 meg mem) and wonder if there would be any probs in re-using it.

The Asus mobo supports 8x AGP and the specs for my creative card doesnt seem to state wether it is 2x AGP or 4X AGP.

Dont do any gaming or such like so i dont want to shell out on a fancy graphics card, (Not unless i have to)

Any comments appreciated.

Mick.

No reason why you can't reuse it. AGP slots are mostly backward compatible although older are not catered for in more recent slots

You should have no problem using the 2X riva tnt2 m64. All 8X boards are backwards compatable. The default bios settings should be for auto detect.
