AGP Bus Speeds

I've just brought an MSI KT6 Delra mobo which supports DDR up to 400Mhz. I cannot decide at this time whether to buy an XP2400 using PC2100 DDR RAM or XP2500 Barton using PC2700 DDR RAM. I read some blurb about the 166Mhz clock speed for the XP2500 upsetting AGP cards. I intend to use my existing Gainward Ti4200 AGP 4x Ultra 650 Golden Sample card for the new mobo - is this true about the raised bus speeds or does the mobo automatically compensate for the raised FSB?? Voltage wise it supports AGP 4x and 8x but this is not the issue. Anyone know please?
