Hi does anybody know what size the agp
aperture size should be.
I can choose from 4meg to 256meg on my
gigabyte ga7-zxe mobo (Currently set at 128meg)
if i were to increase to 256meg what would happen?
will it make the pc quicker in games for example like grand Prix4
i also have a geforce4 ti4200 64meg grahics card
with 64meg

"never set the AAS below 16 MB, as performance and stability will be compromised"

"Another rule of thumb is that you should always set AAS to either be less than or equal to your total system memory, as you cannot use memory you do not have in the first place."

Set it to 128MB and leave it, the apature is of little relevance now that cards have so much memory on them, it was designed to ship textures out to when the graphics card ran out of memory but seeing as most cards start at 64MB and games use compressed texures it doesnt do a great deal now.
