Hi There, Can anybody tell me how to find out if I have a vacant agp slot?, I know I have a pci slots.....Thanks

The agp slot is a short brown slot between the group of long white pci slots and the processor. There will only be one and it is close to and parallel with the pci slots.

There is either No or 1 AGP slot in a system.

It's postioned above the PCI slots, and is about 3/4 of the length of them.

It's immediately above the PCI slots, and is usually brown.

It ends about 2cms further away from the back edge of the motherboard than the PCI slots.

Not to be confused with a (sometimes fitted, often not) CNR/ANR slot which is much shorter.

If you already have an AGP graphics card, then the only slot will be in use.
