AGP 1 v AGP 2

I want to upgrade the graphics card in my daughters Pc so that she can play simple games.
She has a GA-5AX mainboard with an AMD K6-500 cpu.
The AGP slot is AGP 1.0 spec.
Can I fit a G4MX440 graphics card ( which is AGP v2.0)?

I don't know for sure but this is an extract of the standards from click here which implies that if it has the right connector then it might work:

"The AGP 1.0 specification defined 1x and 2x speeds with the 3.3v keyed connector.

The AGP 2.0 specification defined 1x, 2x and 4x speeds with the 3.3v, or 1.5v keyed connector or a 'Universal' connector which supported both card types"

Some of the specs for the card state that it's AGP4 requiring 1.5v which if that's the case then it might not work and possibly be damaged.

THanks for the advice, Big Elf

My advice is not definitive but is purely based on what I've found through Google.
