Agabot worm

I have w32/agabot-gm worm in my registry apparantly. Both anti virus products I have tried can identify it but say that access to the infected file is denied. How do I get rid of it?

First off do the first part and use regedit to see if the registry entries are there. If they are remove them as instructed in the link.If not and you are using XP or Me then they may be in the system restore files.Have a look at the full file path that your AV scanner gives...if the word restore appears in it then you need to switch off system restore then switch it back on again.

Then run your scans again.
