After installing USB drive I cannot restart XP

Hello all

After a bit of advice. I have just bought a Western Digital USB2 hard drive and after installing it I reformatted it to NTFS.

Unfortunately now I cannot start my computer if the drive is switched on. Alright not a huge problem as I only have to switch the drive off when fully shutting the computer down. But I hate niggles like this and would like to be able to leave it on. I think the problem is that the computer is looking at this drive first and trying to install the system from it (if that makes sense).

Anyhow any help greatly appreciated.

Ckeck your boot order in the bios, and make sure your boot drive is listed first, and no priority is given to external devices.
