Advice re wireless keyboard and mouse.

Whilst looking through a cupboard today I found, hidden away, what I believe to be a Christmas present from my good lady to me! It's a wireless keyboard and mouse. I don't want to disturb it in its hiding place! Are they easy to install? Do I just disconnect my exisitng keyboard and mouse? Do I have to install anything on my PC to accomodate it/them? Any tips would be appreciated. It's a Microsoft variety.

Easy, as Lozzy says. Just put in the batteries, plug the receiver to the computer, Windows will install the drivers automatically and you can start using them as usual. If there are special shortcut buttons on the keyboard which you want to use, you will have to install the software from the CD that comes with the package. Otherwise you don't even need to bother with the CD.

Thank you both for your replies. Promise I'll look surprised on Christmas Day! Assuming of course the present is for me!
