Advice on laptop purchase please

Hi guys, A collegue at work is thinking of buying a new laptop his budget is £700.

Both himself and his son will be using it for various stuff including digital photos and music mixing.Any advice appreciatted.

He has been to pc world and whilst there he was warned offf using Tiny for worries over their customer support.

i believe tiny are now a defunct company as is another company by the name of time.

Tiny are still advertising as trading in many pc mags as direct suppliers without high street shops.

I would suggest at least a 15" screen, 512Mb of RAM and a Celeron M 1.4Ghz chip.
