Im looking to buy a new motherboard for a top spec pc im building, i want it to Include athlon proccesor,or is it cheaper to buy seperatly?
I also want it to have a fast bus speed & large cache & be future proof for upgrade etc. Not to sure which one to go for, i have about £200 to spend.
I'll be mainly using for making music & designing websites, games to.

Sorry but I do not advise on top spec Computers as they seem to be more trouble than they are worth

You may also have to consider your graphics card as latest motherboards support PCIe but for £200 you will be pushing it a bit to get what you are after.

Take a look at click here with their mobo/processor/memory bundles - they come assembled and tested - I built me a 64bit system in July -its a dream

You are not going to get any Super Computer for £600 never mind £200

Ive decided to get a amd athlon xp 3400 processor, im considering Asus A8N-SLI Premium or deluxe nforce4, would the xp3400 be compatible with those motherboards.
If not what is the best motherboard for this processor?

As no " experts" have replied;-) here is the cpu list for the Asus A8N-SLI Premium

and the deluxe nforce4 click here.

As you can see, the 939pin 3400 will fit in both. happy upgrading:-)
