Hi All

I wonder if anyone can help? I am looking to buy a DVD recorder but with a few extras such as being able to read DIVX, AVI and MPEG4.

If a DVD recorder can read DIVX will it also play AVI?

Can anyone recommend any good products?

I was wondering about these from amazon:

What I do advise, is if you want to record from the TV make sure it has time storage when you turn it off. It is quite an irritant to find you have to reset the time after every turn on. Especially as the governemnt is making it unlawful to have any appliances on standby. At least unlawful to be sold with standby facility.

Thanks for the advice.

Where did you find government is making it unlawful to have any appliances on standby?

Anymore ideas?
