Advice about hard drive connections

Hi

Im looking to buy a new hard drive for one of my pcs but im a little confused about the differnt type of connections, i know my motherboard has a normal ide socket, ive seen a hard drives thats a good deal, its ata 133,would this be compatable with a normal ide socket?

Yes.

ATA, E-IDE, P-ATA and IDE are all the same.

133 is the fastest type of IDE you can get.
