Adverts despite Ad-Aware SE Professional

In the last few days I've been getting adverts despite recently doing a deep scan on Ad-Aware SE Professional and also running Spybot.

One of the main culprits is one like this click here which alleges my computer is at risk.

Any ideas why Ad-Aware is not stopping this type of advert would be appreciated. Perhaps it is because Ad-Aware has to be run every day but this can take osme time if it is a deep scan.

Hi, I have not clicked on your link, but would advise to also run AVG Free, latest version.

AdAware is not anti-virus.

Cheers

This is what MacAfee Site Advisor has to say about the link posted by Charlie Babbage.

NOD32 doesn't like the site either....it denied me access to it.

Exercise caution if you do use the link.........for a start it is trying to sell you rogue software and it may also contain malicious code.

... despite running Adaware and AVG!

It is not so much adverts now but that a web page I've not requested loads and then disappears although can be displayed if required (usually not!)by clicking the icon in the Task Bar area.

Anything else I can do to stop this annoyance?
