dear all, i run a small home based company with a mate, which i intend to exapnd. One way in doing this was to advertise on sites like this for example. My question is what is an impression? for example in this site its £30 per 1000 impressions. Is that £30 per person viewing the advertisement, or £30 per 1000 people clicking on my advertisement? i look forward to your replies.
cheers

An impression is one display of your advert. say a banner or link. so if they say $30 per 1000 impressions that means they will display your advert 1000 times meaning 1000 different people.

the rule of thumb these days is that adverts like that don't give great results. Instead place classified ads in newsletter that is targeted at your customer base.

goodluck
